ABOUT US
Our Team at a Glance
See the faces behind the hard work.
Tenants, owners and vendors will hear from all four of us at Stay & Play. We pride ourselves on working as a team, to better serve you! Where one stops the other picks up right where they left off. Put a face to the name at the bottom of your emails or voice on the other side of the phone call.
At Stay & Play Property Management, we’re not your average property management team—we’re a group of people who genuinely love what we do and pour our hearts into it. Between us, we bring decades of experience in property management, real estate, marketing, customer service, and more. Along with a long list of stories you wouldn’t believe if we didn’t live them. We’ve rescued stray animals, helped tenants in crisis, flipped our days upside down to solve unexpected problems and embraced every new challenge with resilience and humor.
What ties us together is more than experience—it’s energy, compassion, and a shared belief that property management should be about people as much as properties. We’re parents, spouses, pet lovers, bakers, movie buffs, adventurers, and lifelong learners. We bring all of that to the way we work. For us, going above and beyond isn’t the exception—it’s the standard. At the end of the day, our goal is simple: to care for our community with integrity, creativity, and a whole lot of heart.
Riesa Best - Property Manager in Charge
I’ve spent over 30 years in property management, working my way up to property manager in charge—and let me tell you, I’ve loved every single step of the journey. At Stay & Play, I like to think of myself as the energizer bunny of the team. I bring an energy to the room that can’t be ignored, and honestly, it all comes from the size of my heart.
I’m always ready and willing to help anyone at the drop of a dime. If you asked me to flip my whole day upside down to solve a problem, handle a tenant emergency, or make someone’s life a little easier, I absolutely would. Property management isn’t just a job for me—it’s an opportunity to care for people, solve problems, and make a tangible difference in their day-to-day lives.
My goal is simple: I want Stay & Play Property Management to lead with heart. That means taking care of everyone in our program, going above and beyond the call of a typical property manager, and always keeping people’s best interests front and center. And it’s not just about people—animals have a special place in my heart too. I’ve rescued strays, cared for pets left behind, and done whatever I can to make sure no creature is forgotten.
Every day in this role is a chance to make someone’s life a little better, to step in when things get messy, and to use my experience, energy, and heart to create a positive impact. I love what I do, and I’m proud to be part of a team that shares that same passion for going the extra mile.
Mandi Selba - Property Manager
I’ve spent over 30 years in property management. From HOA management to leasing, coordinating maintenance, onboarding new owners and team leadership. I’ve worn every hat this industry offers. If there’s a job to be done in property management, I’ve already done it, (sometimes twice). This is experience that our owners and renters benefit from. I’m certified with CCAR, NAR, and NARPM, and have been a licensed Property Manager since 2006.
Beyond the credentials, it’s the stories that have made this job rewarding - like rescuing abandoned pets in empty homes, helping a woman in crisis find shelter, or checking in on elderly tenants when no one outside our team would. This job is full of challenges, full of opportunities to share kindness and that’s why I love it. Property management takes grit, patience, attention to detail, organization and a good sense of humor. You’ve got to think fast, care deeply, and show up every day ready to solve real problems for real people. That’s what I do — and it’s what I care about most.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to make sure every person I work with feels heard, helped, and maybe even leaves with a smile.
Candance Griffith - Property Manager
& Director of Maintenance
I started from the ground up—no shortcuts, just hard work and a willingness to jump in wherever I was needed. Twelve years ago, someone took a chance on me as a maintenance coordinator, and I’ve been knee-deep (sometimes literally) in the wild world of property management ever since. In this role, I’ve seen some crazy things—things that prove this job is definitely not for the weak of mind or stomach.
I’ve also learned the importance of going above and beyond when the moment calls for it. Like the time I had a tenant who cared for all the stray cats around her property. During her move-out inspection, she decided to take every last one with her. So there I was—helping her catch each cat, loading them into pet taxis, and feeling genuinely thrilled that these kitties, who had roamed that property for years, were heading to a new home instead of being left behind.
Along the way, I’ve learned more about myself than I ever expected: how resourceful I can be under pressure, how quickly I can problem-solve, and how much I truly love helping people, even in the messiest of situations. And now, with my brand-new property management license in hand, I’m excited to dive deeper into new aspects of the business and see where this next chapter takes me.
Ashley Finke - Director of Keys & Connections
I bring over seven years of experience in marketing and another seven years as a real estate sales agent in New Jersey, along with running my own photography business.
My previous career experience taught me a lot about myself - My strengths, passions, and the kind of work that energizes me. It showed me that I thrive when I can combine creativity, problem-solving, and connecting with people—skills that I now get to bring into property management.
When life brought me to South Carolina, I knew it was time to focus my energy in a new way. I’m new to the team and to property management, but I’m a quick learner and deeply grateful to be surrounded by a supportive group of colleagues showing me the ropes. They are sharing a little southern charm along the way, too. I love the opportunity to help, to find efficient solutions, to tackle challenges, and to approach every day with creativity and enthusiasm.
Outside of work, I try to keep up with my three energetic dogs, explore our new town with my husband, and dive into all things baking whenever I get the chance. Every adventure and experience adds perspective and energy that I bring back to my work. I’m excited to grow in this role, bring my life experience to the team, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of the people and properties we serve.
